Adding to Your Southern California Bucket List

Many of us have a bucket list that we’ve been working on, and if you’re planning on visiting Southern California, there’s no doubt you’ll want to add certain places and activities from that area. While you’re going to have to compete with traffic, it’s possible to get some of the items checked off your list depending on how long your trip will be. Without further ado, let’s talk about just some of the Southern California spots and activities you might want to add to your list.

Eat at In-N-Out
Chances are you’ve heard of In-N-Out Burger, so if you’re planning on going to Southern California, consider putting dining at the restaurant on your bucket list so you can see what all the hype is about. The good news is that it’s open late so even if you can’t make it there during the day, at least you can get over there for a late night meal or snack.

Frolic in Disneyland
If you’ve never been to Disneyland, it’s a must-visit if you’re going to Southern California. As you can probably imagine, it can get really crowded especially during the peak tourist times, so if you’re looking to avoid crowds that are larger than usual, you may want to think about going when it won’t be so crowded.

Visit the Queen Mary
Looking to add a little spookiness to your trip? The Queen Mary isn’t just a reportedly haunted ocean liner, it’s also a hotel where you can stay. There are plenty of activities, tours, and attractions on board so there’s a lot to keep you entertained. It’s an experience you definitely don’t want to miss and an activity in Southern California that you will certainly want to add to your bucket list.

Explore Joshua Tree National Park
There is so much to see and do in Joshua Tree National Park, and the best part is that at the end of the day after you’ve finished numerous activities such as going for a hike, watching for wildlife, taking stunning photographs, and just enjoying being out in nature, you can camp under the stars. If you’re bringing your four-legged friend, keep in mind that they’re not permitted in all areas.

Spend time in Balboa Park
Located in San Diego, Balboa Park is 1,200-acres that consists of the San Diego Zoo, events, gardens, more than ten museums, and much more. You can even do a little shopping and grab some food. It’s possible to spend a day here and still not see and do everything you want to, so consider adding it to your Southern California bucket list and allocating at least a couple of days.

Explore Hollywood
While there is quite a bit to see and do in Hollywood, there are two things you should absolutely add to your bucket list: visiting the Hollywood Walk of Fame and seeing the Hollywood sign. It’s a perfect opportunity to pay homage to the greatest in entertainment while also seeing the stars of your favorite celebrities in the process.

When you’re writing out your Southern California bucket list, don’t forget to include stores as well as other restaurants that you’d like to visit. You’re sure to have a trip you won’t soon forget.
