Must-have Items For Your Honeymoon

Getting ready to pack for your honeymoon? Congratulations! It’s going to be one of the most exciting trips you’ll take in your life, so it’s no surprise that you want to make sure you have everything on hand that you need. Don’t worry; if you plan and pack in advance it makes the process much easier. Let’s talk about just some of the items you might want to consider taking with you on your honeymoon.

Personal Care Items
Checking that you have all your personal care items for your honeymoon is essential especially if you’re going to a remote destination. A handful of the items you’ll want to take include sunscreen, shaving razors, contacts & contact solution, lip balm with SPF, feminine hygiene items, toothpaste and toothbrush, deodorant, hair products, and your favorite cosmetics. You’re also going to want to bring along any prescriptions, but keep them in their original packaging.

Lingerie
Go ahead and splurge on some new lingerie for your honeymoon. Whether you choose one special piece or you opt for a few, buy something that you absolutely love and feel fabulous in, not something that’s going to make you feel awkward and uncomfortable.

Celebratory Dinner Outfit
You’re always going to remember the first dinner you have on your honeymoon and you’re very likely going to have quite a few photos of you wearing your dinner outfit, so treat yourself and buy something special. Just like with the lingerie, it should be something you feel good wearing, an outfit that makes you want to strut your stuff.

Climate-Appropriate Clothing
When you’re packing for your honeymoon, keep in mind that you’re choosing clothing that’s appropriate to the climate you’re traveling to, not the one you’re living in. It’s also important to pack according to the current weather conditions, not for what they usually are. For example, the destination you’re going to might typically be warm but current conditions could be unseasonably chilly. You don’t want to overpack, but you don’t want to be unprepared either. Check the weather as your honeymoon approaches and adjust your packing accordingly, but bring basics that are always useful such as a long dress, jeans, a few t-shirts, a LBD, a cardigan, and a bathing suit. Don’t forget sneakers, a pair of stylish yet comfortable flats, and a pair of versatile heels.

Extra Chargers
Whether it’s for your cell, camera, or another gadget, bring extra chargers with you. If you’re out and about for the day, you’re probably not going to be able to stop and plug your phone in if the battery is running low, but a portable power bank can allow you to charge it on the go. Also, if your original charger breaks and you can’t replace it, at least you’ll have a backup.

Lastly, when you’re packing for your honeymoon, make copies of the front and back of all of your documents and cards that you’re bringing with you, and it’s also ideal to email them to yourself. For example, photocopy any credit cards, your passport, drivers license, any reservations you have for your honeymoon, etc, and leave the copies behind at home. Don’t forget to take your airline tickets!
