Upscale Shopping & Dining Miami Style

Planning a trip to Miami, or maybe you live in the vibrant city and just want a fabulous night out on the town? A little upscale shopping and dining couldn’t hurt. We all deserve a little luxury in our life once in awhile. However, in a fantastic city such as Miami, how are you supposed to decide where to go when there are so many options? The following are just some that you should check out if you’re looking for a great meal or to pick up some designer duds.

Bal Harbour Shops
If you’re in need of buying some new upscale clothing and accessories, one of the best places you can go in Miami is Bal Harbour Shops. It’s here that you’ll find numerous luxury stores at which to shop including Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, Dior, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Tiffany & Co., Rolex, Versace, and Valentino. Don’t forget to stop for some food after you’re done shopping. You’ll certainly be surrounded by luxury everywhere you turn.

Miami Design District
Head over to the Miami Design District if you want to do even more upscale shopping. Stores at which you’ll be able to shop include Burberry, Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, Tom Ford, and Zadig & Voltaire. There are also several restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat including MC Kitchen and Mandolin Aegean Bistro. The Miami Design District (not necessarily including the restaurants) is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 8pm and on Sunday from noon to 6pm.

Il Gabbiano
Desire Italian food? Il Gabbiano, which is located on S. Biscayne Blvd in Miami, could be just what you’re searching for. They’re open for lunch and dinner with some of their food options including Mozzarella di Bufala, Pasta e Fagioli, Linguine alle Vongole, Burrata, Risotto ai Porcini, Pollo al Martini, Filetto Farcito, and Saltimbocca. They’re open Monday through Friday from noon to 11:30pm, on Saturday from 5pm to 11:30pm, and they’re closed on Sundays.

The Bazaar by Jose Andres
It’s worth starting out by saying that Chef Jose Andres is a James Beard Award Winner, and if you’re in need of some mouth-watering food, then The Bazaar by Jose Andres is definitely a spot you should check out. Some of the items you may be able to try include Caviar Cone, Traditional Flan, Gazpacho Patricia, Piquillo Relleno de Caña de Cabra, Smoked Oysters, Pollo al Ajillo Cubano, and King Crab. They’re open Sunday through Thursday from 6pm to 11pm and on Friday and Saturday from 6pm to midnight. On Saturday, brunch is available from 11am to 2:30pm.

Keep in mind that hours, menus, and prices are subject to change, so before you head over to Miami for a little upscale shopping and dining, it’s best if you call in advance not just to clarify any information you have, but to see if you need a reservation if you’re planning on going to a restaurant. It may seem inconvenient to call ahead of time, but it can save you a lot of hassle than if you were to find out when you arrive that things have changed.
