Winter Fun in Las Vegas

When you think of Las Vegas, you probably envision gambling and large and luxurious pools where everyone is hanging out in their bathing suits, but there are plenty of other activities that you can do when you’re visiting the city even when it’s cold outside. Sure you can still get your gambling in and chow down on delicious food, but the following are some winter activities in Las Vegas to have some fun when the temperatures start dipping.

The Cosmopolitan
Set on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas is The Cosmopolitan and its Boulevard Pool that’s transformed into a fabulous 4,200-square-foot ice skating rink. You’ll be privy to gorgeous views and a great experience, but while you’re there, don’t forget to take a look at the food and drink menus which include options such as the Egg Noggy Nog Cocktail, the Campfire Delight Cocktail, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, the Cinnamon Churros, and the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree non-alcoholic beverage.

Museums
Don’t count Las Vegas out when it comes to museums. There are plenty to visit that are sure to capture your interest. Just some that you’ll be able to visit include The Mob Museum, the Neon Museum, the Discovery Children’s Museum, The Las Vegas Natural History Museum, and the Burlesque Hall of Fame. There’s a little something for everyone.

Lee Canyon
Located on Lee Canyon Road in Las Vegas, Lee Canyon is where you can partake in winter activities in Las Vegas whether you’re going by yourself, with family or friends, or on a date. You could go skiing, tubing, or snowboarding and enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and snow all day. Don’t worry if you’re not the greatest on the slopes; lessons are available. From December through March they’re open daily from 9 am to 4 pm.

Shopping
You’re probably well aware of what Las Vegas has to offer in terms of casinos, but what you may not be aware of is how much incredible shopping you can get done in the city. Ready to pick up some new items? Consider heading over to the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, the Miracle Mile Shops, or The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian.

The Las Vegas Pass
You may also want to look into the Las Vegas Pass which is available in 1, 2, 3, or 5-day increments. Essentially it allows you to get into a variety of attractions, have access to fast track entry, and more. Available attractions include the Stratosphere Tower, the Banger Brewing Company, the Planet Hollywood Restaurant, the Sky Zone Trampoline Park, and the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. As long as you make the most of the pass, it could end up saving you quite a bit of money.

When you’re planning your trip to Las Vegas, it’s best if you plan your itinerary and get any tickets or passes in order as soon as possible, but don’t forget to leave room to have a little spontaneous fun. You never know what could happen in Sin City.
