Romantic Activities To Do In Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is a city in New York that—you guessed it—is best known for the waterfalls. It’s no surprise as to why it’s a huge tourist destination; it’s a gorgeous place to visit. If you’re interested in taking a romantic getaway to Niagara Falls, your problem isn’t going to be finding things to do, it’s going to be narrowing down your options. There is so much to do in and around the city—in addition to visiting the falls themselves, of course—but let’s talk about just some of the other romantic activities you can do in and near Niagara Falls.

Dine with a View
There are several restaurants in the area at which you can dine that offer a great view of the falls. To see what the falls look like from various angles, think about going to one restaurant with a view during the day and a different one after the sun goes down. Keep in mind that when you dine at almost any restaurant that offers a gorgeous view, you’re very likely going to be paying a good amount for your food as part of the overall experience.

Have a Picnic
One of the most romantic activities you can do in Niagara Falls is to have a picnic, and two wonderful places to consider going are the Whirlpool State Park and Niagara Falls State Park. There are plenty of restaurants in and around the area where you can grab food, so pack the perfect lunch (or dinner!) and head out to enjoy the scenery and take a stroll after.

Visit a Winery
There are so many wineries in the Niagara Falls area, so even if you’re willing to take a road trip up to 45-minutes, there are numerous wineries at which you can visit including Honeymoon Trail Winery, Flight of Five Winery, the Winery at Marjim Manor, and Arrowhead Spring Vineyards. If you’d rather not do a wine tour on your own, there are various tours that you can schedule that will help you get around. Make sure to call the wineries in advance of your visit to see if you need to schedule an appointment.

See the Fireworks
If you haven’t attended the fireworks show, it’s a must if you’re looking for a substantial amount of beauty and romance. The fireworks show starts in June and goes until September; they start at 10pm each night on the schedule. Considering how popular it is, the earlier you get there—even if it’s an hour in advance—the more likely you are to grab a great seat.
