Coolangatta Estate in Australia

Coolangatta Estate has a long and rich history that’s pretty fascinating. It was actually the first European settlement on the South Coast of New South Wales (NSW), and it all started with a grant of 10,000 acres and 100 convicts. It was Alexander Berry and Edward Wollstonecraft who received both from the NSW government, and on June 23, 1822, the journey began to turn it into the beautiful Coolangatta Estate that it is today. Wines
Did you know that Coolangatta Estate is also a winery? They’ve received many awards, and if you want to try them out for yourself, you can purchase Coolangatta Estate wines online. White and red wines are available as well as port and rose. Should you want to visit in person, their cellar door is open daily from 10am to 5pm where you can do a wine tasting, eat some delicious food, relax and enjoy the scenery, and do a little shopping.

Dining
Speaking of food, you could also head over to Firegrill and grab some good eats that range from soup to oysters. You can eat indoors by the fire or outdoors in the wine garden. Lunch is available from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 pm to 2:30 pm with coffee starting at 10:30 am, and dinner is available Tuesday to Saturday starting at 6 pm. When you get hungry, there’s always something good on the menu.

Facilities
If you’re thinking that Coolangatta Estate could be a lovely place to host an event, there are five dining areas available from which you can choose. There’s the Alexanders which can host 80-people and The Crows Nest which can host 200-people, but there’s an option to remove partitions and combine the two areas. Additionally, there’s The Great Hall which can accommodate 100-guests, Alexanders Mezzanine which can accommodate 20-guests, and The Garden Marquee for lunches of 50 or fewer people.

Accommodations
Should you want to stay at Coolangatta Estate – and who can blame you considering how lovely the area is – there are a variety of accommodations you can stay in. They all have their own unique charm and style, and – of course – their own history. There is free WiFi in each room as well as various other perks, and each accommodation is located close to all that the Coolangatta Estate has to offer.

All of the aforementioned is just the beginning of what you’ll find at Coolangatta Estate. Keep in mind that the seasons are different than if you were to visit from the Northern Hemisphere. Summer in Australia is from December to February, Autumn is from March to May, Winter is from June to August, and Spring is from September to November.
