Great NYC Brunch Spots
New Yorkers know brunch, and there are so many places around the city where you can dig into one of your favorite meals of the day. However, that’s the problem with so many options; how are you supposed to choose where to go? If you’re looking for a few options to start with, feel free to peruse the menus at the following great NYC brunch spots in an effort to find your favorite.
Friedman’s
With several locations across the city, including in Herald Square and Chelsea, Friedman’s is a great place to grab brunch, but keep in mind that menus may vary from one location to the next. Some of the many items you’ll find on the menu include the Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle, Egg Wrap, Housemade Granola, and the Avocado Toast. They also have it noted on the menu when you can get certain dishes prepared gluten-free.
Clinton St. Baking Company
Plan accordingly if you’re going to go to Clinton St. Baking Company because chances are there will be a wait, especially on the weekend. They’re open Monday through Friday for breakfast at 8am (which is served until 4pm), and on Saturday, brunch starts at 9am. Sunday they also open at 9am. They’re especially well-known for their pancakes and biscuits, so keep that in mind when you’re perusing the menu. Other items you’ll find include a Smoked Salmon Scramble, Huevos Rancheros, and a Southern Breakfast.
BeeHive Oven Biscuit Cafe
Located in Brooklyn on South 2nd Street, BeeHive Oven Biscuit Cafe is open Tuesday through Sunday at 10am with brunch served Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. Items you’ll find on the menu include Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, Shrimp and Grits, Vegetable Okra Gumbo, and a Texas Hot Brown. The restaurant offers a new brunch item every weekend, so it’s a great chance to try something different at a familiar place. They’re known for their biscuits, and if you like them enough, you can even order them online.
Tartine
Set in the West Village, Tartine has a focus on French cuisine. They’re open for brunch at 9am Monday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday it starts at 10am. Note that they are cash only, so be prepared to have more than card in hand when your bill comes. Some of the delicious items you’ll find on their brunch menu include a Croque-Monsieur Sandwich, Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Eggs Florentine, and Grey Goose Cured Scottish Salmon.
Talk about some incredible food options! If those don’t make you hungry for some brunch, nothing will. With so many fantastic brunch spots around New York City, the aforementioned are some good places to start and you certainly won’t regret your decision to dig into their delectable dishes. Keep in mind that, because brunch is so incredibly popular in NYC, going at the right time is crucial otherwise you could be waiting while you’re hungry for what feels like forever. Plan accordingly, but still plan for a wait just in case.
