Sonoma Valley Wineries

Sonoma Valley vineyard

There are some truly fantastic wineries out there, and quite a few of them are located in Sonoma Valley. It’s a huge wine-producing region in California that’s known as much for being beautiful as it is for its wine. While it would be impossible to list all the fabulous Sonoma Valley wineries that are worth a visit, the following four are certainly ones that are worth checking out when you’re in the area.

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards
With decades involved in the industry, the Jacuzzi Family knows what it takes to make a vineyard work well, and you can check it out for yourself when you visit the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards on Arnold Drive any day of the week. They do have a tasting room, and if you go in a group of up to five guests, you can receive a complimentary tasting and you don’t have to make reservations. Those in a group of six or more will have to make reservations and they’ll have a choice of a tasting, a tour and tasting, or a VIP room tasting. Love their wine? You can order it online and have it shipped to your home.

Cornerstone Sonoma
You’ll find three wineries/tasting rooms at Cornerstone Sonoma: Meadowcroft, Keating, and Poseidon Vineyard & Obsidian Ridge. There’s also a restaurant by the name of Park 121. It gives you the opportunity to try a range of fabulous wines all in one place and get a great meal afterward. While you’re at Cornerstone Sonoma, make sure to check out the exquisite gardens and artwork as well as the shops and galleries. Also located on Arnold Drive in Sonoma, they’re open every day from 10 am to 5 pm (with the gardens closing at 4pm).

Larson Family Winery
Let’s head over to Millerick Road in Sonoma where you’ll find the Larson Family Winery. Their tasting room is located in a barn which creates a charming setting, and there’s also a bocce court and picnic tables so you can spend some time hanging around enjoying the beautiful view. There’s a home located on the property that you can stay in during your visit as well as another one in Truckee. The family has owned the property since 1899 and they planted their first vines in 1977. If you love their wine, you can order it online.

Cline Cellars
Onto Cline Cellars which is located across the street from their sister property: the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. It’s here that you can spend $20 on a flight of four reserve wines as well as receive a complimentary tasting of five non-reserve wines. They’re open daily from 10am to 6pm and offer daily tours at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. You don’t need to make a reservation if you have six or less in your group, but reservations for groups of 7 or more are necessary. Wine shipping is available.

Few things are better than spending time exploring wineries, tasting great wine, enjoying fabulous company, and look at beautiful scenery. Now that you have some ideas of wineries to check out in Sonoma Valley, isn’t it time you get to booking your trip?
