Polo Steakhouse Restaurant in Garden City, New York
Located in the Garden City Hotel, the Polo Steakhouse is a beautiful restaurant that is known for their delicious food, especially their steaks as well as their brunch. The Basics
The 120-seat restaurant is open for breakfast from 6:30 am to 11 am, lunch from 11:30 am to 2 pm, and dinner from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. They’re one of the restaurants taking part in Long Island Restaurant Week from April 17 – 24, 2016 so it’s the perfect opportunity to give them a shot and see what they offer. The Menus
The menus at Polo Steakhouse aren’t large, but what they do offer certainly is enticing. Some of the options include a 20-ounce 28-day Dry Aged Prime Bone-in Kansas City Strip Steak, 8-ounce CAB Filet Mignon, Classic Lobster Bisque, Grilled Asparagus, Truffle Steak Fries, Three Cheese Macaroni and Cheese, Burrata, and Grilled Swordfish. There are several different menus available during specific times of the day, so if you’re interested in trying a particular item, make sure to check out their menus online first so you can make sure you’ll be able to get what you want.
Specials
If you’re looking to save some money during your visit to the Polo Steakhouse, then there are a few options you might be into: Tuesdays Uncorked, the Prix Fixe Lunch Menu, the Prix Fixe Dinner Menu, and the Weekend Breakfast Buffet. For Tuesdays Uncorked, you can get a half-priced bottle of wine on those that are valued for $100+. As far as the Prix Fixe Lunch Menu, 2 courses are $27 per person while 3 courses are $35 per person. For the Prix Fix Dinner Menu, it’s $35 per person for 3 courses. On Saturday and Sunday morning, you could pay $27 (plus tax and tip) to have access to the Weekend Breakfast Buffet where you can eat smoked salmon, fruit, muffins, pastries, bagels, eggs, bacon, french toast, and sausage.
Saturday Afternoon Tea
At 2 pm, starting at $45-per-person, you take part in Saturday Afternoon Tea at the Polo Steakhouse. Other than “The Traditional Tea” package, additional options include “The Chocolate Tea” for $50 or “The Royal Tea” for $55. Port and champagne are also available by the glass for an additional charge. Reservations are required.
Sunday Brunch
Starting on Sunday at 11am and going until 4:30 pm is a brunch that you don’t want to miss at Polo Steakhouse. Each seating, which takes place at 11:00 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm, and 2:30 pm, is only available for a max of 2-hours. Brunch for each adult is $75 per adult and $42.50 for kids under 12. Although tax and tip aren’t included, you do get unlimited red and white house wines, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Champagne, and soft drinks. Just some of what you’ll find include a seafood bar, meat carving station, sushi bar, waffle station, omelet station, and pasta station. Reservations are required.
