Christmas is very quickly approaching, but that doesn’t mean there’s not still time to plan a little getaway. Although many cities and towns across the United States decorate for the holidays and they look absolutely beautiful, there are some that are ideal to visit if you want to incorporate some next level holiday celebrating into your social calendar this year. Let’s discuss four fantastic places across the United States that can help you do just that.

Santa Claus, Indiana
Yes, there IS a Santa Claus … Indiana! As you can probably guess, they do have a love of Christmas. You can do plenty of shopping, visit with Santa, stop by the Santa Claus Museum & Village, make your way through the Santa Claus Land of Lights at the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, or do one of the other numerous activities. There are also plenty of places to eat at when you get hungry.

New York City
Everywhere you turn in New York City you’ll see signs of Christmas. From seeing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and visiting the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree to ice skating in Central Park and shopping for unique gifts at the Winter Village at Bryant Park, there’s something for everyone to do. Considering how crazy busy many of the Christmas attractions can get, you may want to try and do some of them during the off hours when they’ll be less crowded.

Orlando, Florida
If you’re in need of some warmer temperatures this Christmas, how about heading to Orlando? According to usclimatedata.com, the average high December temperature in the city is 72-degrees. There are numerous places around Orlando where you can get into the Christmas spirit including at Universal Orlando Resort and Disney World. Keep in mind that there are peak and off-peak hours for visiting certain places, so you may want to look into what those times are for the day you’re planning on going if you want to avoid crowds.

McAdenville, North Carolina
You may have never heard of McAdenville, North Carolina, which has a population of under a thousand people, so why exactly is it on the list as a destination to consider visiting for Christmas? They love the holiday so much the town also goes by the name of Christmas Town USA. The lights in the town glow on a set schedule – Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and on the weekend from 5:30 pm to 11 pm. They’re already up and ready for the holidays and will continue until December 26.

Speaking of crowds, one of the best things you can do is make your reservations and plans as far in advance as possible. We’re already inching closer to Christmas, but despite the last-minute planning, you can still do quite a few reservations online so you’re not doing it while you’re on vacation.
