Tips for Watching the Super Bowl in Las Vegas

Unfortunately, many of us won’t get to see the Super Bowl in person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of celebrating it and enjoying the experience anyway, and one of the best places you can do that is in Las Vegas. The big game is all set for February 5, 2017, in Houston, Texas, at NRG Stadium with Lady Gaga headlining the halftime show. Interested in heading to Vegas for Super Bowl LI? The following are some tips to help you enjoy the Superbowl weekend in Las Vegas.

Make Your Reservations Now
If you haven’t already made your reservations for Super Bowl weekend in Vegas, it’s a must that you do so as soon as possible. Reservations book up extremely fast, and many head to the city just for the purpose of watching the big game; this year will be no different. Whether it’s reservations for a hotel or for the venue where you want to watch the game, booking sooner than later is your best bet.

Weigh Your Options
There are a lot of different places where you can go to watch the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Some prefer to stay in the center of the action on the Las Vegas Strip while others prefer to go a further distance. You could go to a bar, lounge, or restaurant, stay at a casino, or watch the game in the same place where you’re staying; some places charge admission while others don’t. If you want to do guaranteed seating, you’re likely going to find yourself paying more money. As far as food and drinks, some places offer all-you-can-eat while others offer specials and you’ll have to pay your way through the night. The first thing you should do is consider your trip’s entire budget then go from there with research to see what options best match what you can afford.

Consider Transportation
If you think it’s going to be incredibly easy to get around Las Vegas during the weekend of the Super Bowl, you may want to think again. As previously stated, many go to the city that weekend for the purpose of watching the game, which means even more people are going to need transportation to get around. Even if you rent a car or limo, you should still factor in traffic in addition to cost. Your best option is to consider going somewhere that you can get to easily by foot.

Get There Early
Wherever you’re going in Las Vegas to watch the Super Bowl, get there early. Even if you have guaranteed seating, you should still get there early to make sure all your reservations are okay, you’re comfortable, seated, and you’re good with food and drinks before the kitchen gets even more overwhelmed with party-goers who come in after you. Watching the Super Bowl is about the whole experience. Take your time to enjoy it, not rush through it.

Consider Staying In
When you factor in the cost of transportation, the venue where you’re going to watch the game, food and drinks, etc, you’re looking at spending quite a bit of money to watch the Super Bowl in Vegas. Staying in your hotel or vacation rental, especially if you have a suite, isn’t a bad idea at all. You don’t have to fight the crowds, you can have a private party, you can buy alcohol and order food, there’s no standing in line for the bathroom, and you’ll always have a good view of the game.

With all that said about spending the weekend in Vegas, who’s ready to watch the Super Bowl!?
