Packing for a Fall Trip to Europe
While Europe is lovely any time of the year, there’s something even more magical about it during the fall, so it’s no surprise as to why you would want to pack your bags and head over for a little vacation. Even the mere thought of having to pack for such an incredible trip would make anyone panic a bit, but don’t worry because deciding what to bring really isn’t so bad! The following are some tips to keep in mind when you’re packing for a fall trip to Europe.
Wear Your Heaviest Items on the Plane
Bringing a coat and boots or other somewhat bulky items for your fall trip to Europe? Consider wearing them onto the plane. It’s less you have to worry about fitting into your suitcase, not to mention if you get chilly, warm, or uncomfortable, you’ll be able to take the items off or put them back on depending on your comfort level.
Plan Your Shoe Choices
You might want to stuff your suitcase with several pairs of your favorite shoes, but it won’t leave much room for anything else. The most important thing you need is shoes that are going to be comfortable to walk in for extended periods of time over a variety of surfaces, including cobblestone. Black flats are one of your best options, just remember not to bring brand new shoes otherwise you’ll end up with blisters.
Bring a Little Black Dress
You can’t go wrong with a little black dress when you’re packing for your fall trip to Europe. You can wear it to many places and it’s appropriate for a variety of situations. It’s even better if it goes from day-to-night.
Bring Multi-purpose Items
Rather than bring items that you know you’re only going to wear once, choose to bring items that you’re going to be able to mix and match with a variety of outfits. For example, you can’t go wrong with a good pair of jeans, a black top, and a black pair of heels. A scarf or two can also be used to change up the look of an outfit.
Bring Your Prescriptions
It’s not clothing-related, but your prescriptions are necessary so you can actually go out and wear the outfits you so carefully packed rather than be stuck in your hotel while feeling ill. There are a couple of things that are essential, however. Not only do you have to make sure you have enough medication for the duration of your trip, but you also have to bring a note from your doctor that states you’re allowed to have it with you.
When it comes to figuring out what to pack for your fall trip to Europe, you don’t have to panic. All it requires is a little planning to make sure that what you’re bringing is not only ideal for where you’re hoping to visit, but that it can also be used repeatedly, so it’s less additional items you have to pack. If anything, you could always do a little shopping on your vacation to pick up some fabulous items for yourself.
