Pittsburgh Winter Beerfest
Alright, ladies and gentlemen, let’s talk about the 4th annual Pittsburgh Winter Beerfest which is set to take place from February 24-25, 2017, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Sure it’s a celebration of local and national beers, but it’s also an homage to beer in general. Feel like making the trip to be surrounded by hundreds of beers in Pittsburgh? The Beer
While the 2017 list isn’t yet up for the Pittsburgh Winter Beerfest, they do have last year’s list still up and it’s quite impressive and extensive. Who knows, you may find some of the breweries at this year’s extravaganza. Some of the breweries that were on the list for last year include Angry Orchard, Ballast Point, Lagunitas, Dark Horse, Neshaminy Creek, Southern Tier, Sam Adams, Shorts, and Whitehorse Brewing.
Admission Costs
If you’re thinking of going to the Pittsburgh Winter Beerfest, you’re probably curious how much it’s going to cost you to get in. Whether you get Early Admission tickets or Regular Admission, each comes with a souvenir mug that allows you to get unlimited sampling. If you get Regular Admission tickets in advance it’s $45; the day of it’s $55. The Friday session runs from 7:30 pm to 11 pm, the Saturday day session is from 1 pm to 4:30 pm, and the Saturday evening session is from 7:30 pm to 11 pm. Early admission grants you the option to get in an hour early for whichever session you choose and gets you a larger souvenir mug.
Connoisseurs Reception
If you’re interested in attending the Connoisseurs Reception, you have to get your tickets online in advance, and they’re $85 each. You’ll get a whole slew of different perks, such as being granted early admission, getting a souvenir Snifter Glass, having access to a reception area, being able to use private restrooms, being able to use coat check (with an extra charge), and having access to food service and beer service.
Designated Driver Options
There are special Designated Driver Ticket options to get into the Pittsburgh Winter Beerfest, and you’ll even get a $5 voucher to use toward food. If you’re interested in this ticket option, you can only get the $20 ticket online in advance. Additionally, there are also Connoisseur Designated Driver Tickets which offer the same privileges as those who buy standard Connoisseurs Reception tickets, just sans the access to alcohol. These tickets are $35 in advance and you can only buy them online.
In addition to all the aforementioned, there’s also going to be a lot of food and live music. As if all that wasn’t enough to consider going, proceeds are going to benefit Animal Rescue Partners.
