Downsize Your Skin Products
There are many who opt to leave their skincare products at home rather than have to worry about fitting them into a carry-on or checked luggage. They allow you to have the products you need and not sacrifice your skincare routine.
Bring The Right Moisturizer
When the colder temperatures come around, you should change your moisturizer out for one that’s heavier and go for one that’s lighter in warmer temperatures. If you’re going to be traveling to a climate that’s currently different from where you live, make sure your moisturizer reflects the temperature change so that you can avoid getting dry skin.
Use A Good Skin Mask
There are numerous moisturizing masks that you can use, and some of them even come in individual packages so they’re super easy to throw in your luggage. Use one when you get to your destination, then you may want to use another one while you’re still traveling depending on how long you’ll be away.
Load Up On Sunscreen
However you’re traveling, you’re going to be exposed to the sun for quite awhile, especially if you’re flying and you’re thousands of feet up in the air. Load up on sunscreen about 30-minutes before you leave your home, and don’t forget to bring the sunscreen with you. For maximum protection, you should reapply it every two hours and opt for one that’s SPF 30+.
Go Light On the Makeup
If you apply your cosmetics as usual, you won’t be able to reapply sunscreen and moisturizer unless you plan on messing up your makeup. Consider going light on the makeup so you’re able to reapply the sunscreen and moisturizer as necessary and reduce your chances of ending up with dry skin.
Your diet can play a big part in how dry your skin gets, so the healthier you eat, the more good it could do for your skin. For example, you should avoid caffeine, any foods that are extremely salty, and alcohol and opt for foods such as salmon, extra virgin olive oil, spinach, and avocados. It can be difficult to eat well on vacation, but it can do wonders for your skin as well as your energy levels.
