Vine Vera loves to examine fun places to visit, live in, and vacation in. Travel can be quite a lovely thing, and the memories you make experiencing new and exciting things far from home will last a lifetime, bringing you a great deal more happiness than just what you experience on the trip itself (though that can be quite fantastic on its own).
Today we’re putting a spotlight on a particular city you definitely need to visit at least once in your lifetime: the exciting seaside locale of Panama city, Florida. Panama City is a rather idyllic setting, with a beach never far away, and lots of neat things to do, not to mention a good standard of living and comfortable housing options for either moving in or staying for just a bit. The local weather is pleasantly mild, the air is fresh, and the atmosphere is delightful.
Here you’ll be treated to a healthy dose of authentic local culture and food, replete with a seemingly endless supply of delightful restaurants with fantastic seafood selections including shrimp, snapper, grouper and much more. If you’re not a fan of fish, you still won’t be disappointed, as the restaurant scene is varied enough to please most any palate, and you’ll also find a heaping helping of southern barbecue, Italian, Cajun, German, and so, so much more.
What to Do in the City
Other than relaxing at the beach or sampling the smörgåsbord of cuisine available at local restaurants, you’ll definitely want to check out the recreation and entertainment options around here.
At Martin Theatre, you’ll be treated to eye-pleasing historic fixtures and a variety of popular plays and attractions throughout the week. You may also be interested int the local Visual Arts Center, where you can view some of the world’s most notable art exhibits. Exhibits change periodically, so it’s worth heading over to see what they’ve got when you’re in town.
Finally, the Marina Civic Center is a facility dedicated to the performing arts, and offering cultural enrichment to citizens and tourists. Seating over 2500 people, it’s definitely an attraction to look into. There’s a fair amount of variety in what you can see there, and cultural enrichment is always a good reason.
What to Do Near the City
And don’t forget what state Panama City is located in! Florida is full of iconic places to visit, so as long as you’re in the area, consider traveling just a bit out of your way (but not much) to check them out.
Namely, you should probably visit Orlando as long as you’re in the state. Because really, why not. There you’ll have access to such enticing attractions as Universal Studios Orlando, Disney World, and Harry Potter World.
