Outdoor Activities
As previously mentioned, Bondi Beach is an ideal place to surf, and if you want to learn the art of it, it’s one of the best places to go and you’re certainly not going to be short of options for instructors. Additionally, while you’re in the area, you can also go swimming, relax in the sand with a good book, do some shopping, go whale watching, ride your bike, or do a little golfing. That’s just the start of some of the outdoor activities that will keep you busy.

Events
Christmas Day is a big deal at Bondi Beach. While many parts of the world are sporting parkas and scarves, those in Bondi Beach are wearing bathing suits with Santa hats. Sculpture by the Sea is also an incredible event that’s free to the public and where you’ll find amazing sculptures that spread out over 2 kms. Artists from all over the world are featured. This year, it takes place from October 20, 2016, to November 6, 2016. The aforementioned events are just two of the many that you’ll find in and around Bondi Beach and are as good of a reason as any to pack your bags.

The low season for Bondi Beach is typically from the beginning of May to the end of August while the high season is midway through December until the end of February. If you’re traveling from the United States, keep in mind that their seasons are different from here. Their summer is December to February, Autumn is March to May, Winter is from June to August, and Spring is September to November. Make sure to pack accordingly so you don’t find yourself without proper clothing for the weather!
