In addition to the PPG Aquarium, there are six other areas where you can see animals: the Kids Kingdom, African Savanna, Tropical Forest, Asian Forest, The Islands, and Water’s Edge. Just some of the many animals to watch out for include the Siamang, Clouded Leopard, Black Rhinoceros, African Elephant, Amur Tiger, Black Swan, Barn Owl, Gentoo Penguin, Blue Monkey, Northern Sea Otter, and Polar Bear.

Events
There are so many events scheduled at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. Visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
Because they’re doing some renovations to the zoo, they’re only currently open on weekends until March 1 at which point they’ll open on weekdays once again. Their hours vary by season, but they’re always closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Thanksgiving. Regular general admission prices range depending on age; military discounts are available but you must show ID. Tickets are available to buy online. Parking is free.
Just a little tip, if you’re planning on visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, it’s best if you check out their social media accounts or call them to ensure that they’re going to be open at the date and time you’re interested in going, especially in the case of inclement weather.
